Simply spray the ready-to-use liquid into place when a fire threatens – it will immediately expand to a water-based foam, which will extinguish smouldering embers landing on it. When exposed to heat, the foam’s thin crust will form a char barrier against ignition and flame spread. Once the bushfire threat is over, simply unblock the drain holes and wash the foam away with water.
FIRECOAT EmberGuard is safe and easy to use. The specially designed spray applicator with extendable nozzle (sold separately) means you don’t even have to climb a ladder to spray the liquid into place. And unlike water, FIRECOAT EmberGuard will remain in place – and effective – for up to 2 weeks unless rained on.
