FSI-Textile pilot tests in Europe with major textile companies

FSI-Textile is a fire retardant that is water-based, safe for handling and free from halogen and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

FSI-Textile is a fire retardant that is water-based, safe for handling and free from halogen and free from Volatile Retardant Chemicals (VOCs). It is easy to apply through spraying or dip-coating. It is designed to significantly reduce the flammability of various types of fabric, including synthetic fabric products, without changing their natural look, feel and texture. FSI-textile treated fabric is non-washable, so re-treatment is required after washing.

FSI-Textile is the result of extensive scientific research and development, both in Sweden and at the University of NSW in Sydney, where all FSI products are designed to exceed industry certification standards for fire retardancy and reduced toxicity.

Last year in Australia FSI was approached by an events company looking for a treatment that is safe for handling as their staff were complaining of skin irritation whilst applying their current treatment to commercial fabrics. They purchased FSI-Textile and the feedback was very positive regarding irritancy and ease of application.

"We've been looking for a flame retardant thats safe or me and my staff to use for years.
The FSI-Textile product is genuinely free from halogens so I feel confident using it.
I've met the FSI R&D team at UNSW – They know what they're doing."
